The Western Athletic Conference will be merging with the Mountain West Conference next year to form the new Pony Conference, or PonyCon, in the 2014-15 college spots season. However, this means one thing in terms of the relevance of the current membership in the Mountain West: EVERYBODY CLEAR OUT! The members currently in the Mountain West will be playing for different conferences next year, except for Air Force, who will go independent.
