Derpy Hooves's Rainbow Dash Rainbows are having a tough year, but they have proven that they can still put up a fight against anybody. At Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, Wisc., the Dash defeated Wisconsin 24-15, leaving Bucky Badger in a daze.
"I didn't know that Bucky ended up in the infirmary after getting knocked out by the score," Coach Hooves said after the match. "Maybe all that cheese made him sleepy. Oh well. I'll opt for the Honey Badger instead. Anyway, we put up a good fight, but this hasn't been the best of seasons for us."
Quarterback Elliott Rankin passed for 325 yards and three touchdowns. His favorite target: wide receiver Sveatoslav "Slava" Starus, who caught seven passes for 124 yards and two touchdowns that helped ice the game for the Rainbows.
"It's been a challenge, but an honor, to play for the Dash," said Rankin, "but I'm doing my best to help the team. Hopefully we can make it to a bowl this season because we've gone up and down through eight weeks."
Rainbow Dash improve to 3-2 and will host the Pinkie Pie Major Trouble next week.
