A lifelong citizen of Canterlot and former fashion model, Photo Finish was named commisioner of the Pony Conference, it was announced today. Upon the announcement, Ms. Finish was introduced at a special press conference at the Tara Strong Convocation Center on the campus of Twilight Sparkle University. The new commissioner doesn't believe much will change in the way things are run and in addition, the quality of play may take a dive.

"Don't expect too much next season from the teams in the Pony Conference next season," Ms. Finish said in her introductory speech. "My objective is to ensure that the governance of this conference is run smoothly, and that there are no issues amongst our member institutions. We have strong athletics program left and right but it won't be as prominent as past seasons.

"In part, I want to talk a little bit about football, or which we ponies call hoofball. Twilight Sparkle's Unicorns have done a wonderful job under coach M.A. Larson. He's been a star among head coaches and deserves all the praise he gets. As for our other programs, we've had mixed results, with strong showings from Pinkie Pie's Major Trouble, the Rainbows of Rainbow Dash and the Royals of the Rarity College of the Arts, or RCA as I like to call them.

"A good league deserves balance. You need to have strong teams and you need to have teams in terms of improvement. But overall, all the teams have to be competitive and the conference games can't get too one-sided. For me, I have been impressed with the sports programs at all six members institutions and I am confident that it's going to continue.

"As commissioner, I will also work with the NCAA and its committees to find new ways to improve the success of our conferences student athletes by introducing new reforms and measures aimed at ensuring their success. We already have a few people from the conference administration on a number of committees and we hope to have stronger representation in the coming months ahead.

"Overall, I am excited about the prospects of the Pony Conference, but as I said earlier, I don't want you to expect too much from our teams because it will most likely be more of the same."
