The greatest trait that defines new Twilight Sparkle University football head coach M.A. Larson is keying in on the definition of tradition. For the coach: tradition is sticking to what one feels is the strongest symbol of tradition, of winning. The biggest question that Larson asked a lot of people is: are you happy with the team name "Alicorns?" Most people...were not.

So, the one solution that Coach Larson could figure to resolve this was to go on a ride around town with the University President herself, Princess Twilight.

"How are you enjoying your time here on campus, M.A.?" Twilie asked him as she carried him down a pathway on the campus grounds.
"Friendly people, truly dedicated to their teams, just a wonderful spirit of coexistence between humans and ponies," he said. "This place...it's sort of like heaven...if I can wrap my mind around it."
"Last month, I gave you a tour of the other schools in our conference. What do you think?"
"I think Miss Kotobuki, the athletic director at Applejack, is a fine young lady and a friendly socialite. Every school has its perks: Rainbow Dash with its Cloudiseum, Rarity with its students dressed up in the latest in haute couture, Fluttershy and the numerous pot-smokers there..."
"Did you...really have to mention that?"
"Only because I could smell it in the air. Other than that, Fluttershy have some of the finest hippies for students. Pinkie Pie is full of frat boys and girls and they get really rowdy...even in class. And the students are able to learn the art of apple-bucking. They make the Shaolin Monks look like amateurs."
"That's putting it nicely," she said.
"Then there is this school...and you. Don't you realize that you are the reason why I love this university and its people and teams?"
"Oh, M.A., that is..."
"Shhhh." They both stopped on a hill to soak in the light breeze that blew over the campus. M.A. stroked Twilight's purple, indigo and pink mane, then proceeded to caress her horn, causing her to sigh like an angel. "I don't need to call you a princess. It doesn't matter if you are a princess or not. Twilight Sparkle will always be Twilight Sparkle to me."
"Do you...have feelings for me?"
"Well, isn't it obvious?" Twilight then changed into a human version of herself, and the two of them went down the hill, walking. "When I am with you, I get energized. You get everyone fired up, wanting to win and emulate the magic that you deliver to make the world a better place."
"I suppose so..."
"Take my hand." She did. "So I am thinking about changing the team name back to the Unicorns to give this university the tradition it had from the beginning. I want to bring this school back to its roots. In the end, there is only one alicorn in this university, and it's you. There can be no one else."
Twilight fell into M.A.'s arms, moved. "Are you sure this is what you want."
"If it's the will of the students, then it has to return to what is beloved. The voice of our students prevails. One Alicorn to reign over thousands of Unicorns. So the Oracle of M.A. Larson says."
"An oracle you wrote yourself?" Twilie said with a giggle.
"It's just in its sixth chapter, but believe me, there's more where that came from."
"You know something, M.A. Larson?"
"What?"
"I just might get used to consummating my feelings for you."

One week later, it was official via a press conference at the Strong Convocation Center: Twilight Sparkle's team would be renamed the Unicorns starting next Fall.
