It was another perfect day in the Western Athletic Conference, as all the teams who took part remain unbeaten for another week. Lopsided scores have become a bit of a norm here in the WAC, and this past week, there was plenty of them.
Twilight Sparkle 180, Arkansas 7
The #14-ranked Unicorns must have been take a page out of the unversity founder's playbook in casting spells that limited the #11-ranked Razorbacks' production. Tony Hickman passed for 526 yards and nine touchdowns but it was the defense that really stole the show, recording 23 interceptions. Next week, Twilight Sparkle take on Florida State.
Rainbow Dash 117, UCF 16
THe Rainbows improved to 3-0 after another sensational victory over the Golden Knights. Tailback Csaba Walko ran for 408 yards and six touchdowns to lead Dashie. Next week, the Rainbows host Wyoming.
Pinkie Pie 213, Holy Cross 20
Seriously, Holy Cross should never have scheduled this game. The Major Trouble made the Crusaders feel like unwelcomed guests. Tailback TOdd Parker ran for 752 yards and 17 touchdowns in the blowout victory. Pinkie Pie travel to Auburn to face the Tigers next week.
Fluttershy 122, Stanford 38
Fluttershy could be on their way up as they upset the #19-ranked Cardinal at Stanford Stadium. Quarterback Carl Porter passed for 471 yards and six touchdowns while rushing for 135 yards and two more scores. Next week, the Spirit host Nevada.
Applejack State 163, New Mexico 10
At Applejack Stadium, the Acres was buzzing with excitement as the Knockers knocked down the Lobos in a one-sided affair. Sam Houston passed for 267 yards and four scores while rushing for 283 yards and seven more touchdowns. Applejack State's next match is on Sept. 29 against Virginia.
Rarity 135, Texas Tech 41
